Clam fishing is a much-loved activity amongst the local people. At low tide and in shallow waters, it is possible to see the small holes left by the clams in the sand. By using a narrow shovel (which we can lend you), all you need to do is unearth the small mollusc and place it in a bucket of salt water to clean away any accumulated sand. Clams are very easy to cook, rather like mussels and just as delicious, simply rinsed in their cooking water and by adding a little butter.
